WorldSkills UK National Finals

From Monday 14th – Friday 18th November, Middlesbrough College proudly hosted the WorldSkills UK Competition Finals!

We were one of the six destinations for WorldSkills UK’s National Skills Competition, which saw students and apprentices from across the country go for gold in a variety of disciplines.

Designed by industry experts, WorldSkills UK competitions help young people to develop their technical skills and boost their confidence.

Alongside the drama of the competition itself, we also hosted our own careers event. Over 35 employers and industry experts joined us to give local school pupils, visitors, and our own students a range of interactive mini-tasters and a chance to discover new careers.

“We’re incredibly proud to have been chosen by WorldSkills UK as one of only a handful of hosts for this major competition. Once again, it demonstrates our commitment to promoting excellence and raising the aspirations of young people in our region and beyond."

Zoe Lewis, Principal and Chief Executive of Middlesbrough College Group
