When it comes to the application process, there’s no need to worry - it’s never been easier!

Full time higher education courses

Please apply through UCAS for full time higher education courses. Our team will make contact with you for further details to arrange an interview. If your application is successful we will formally offer you a place via UCAS.

Alternatively you can apply for a course by clicking the apply now button on the course factsheet. Our team will make contact with you for further details and to arrange an interview. If your application is successful we will formally offer you a place on the programme and upload your application to UCAS for you.

Register your details
If you’ve not applied to university before, you’ll need to register an account with UCAS. Fill in your personal details and create an account. You’ll be asked to fill in a range of details such as your ethnicity, occupation and your parent details. Include all your previous qualifications and list any jobs you’ve had. This strengthens your application and lets us know you have experience to complete your higher education qualification with us. If you’re awaiting your BTEC or A Level results list them as ‘pending’.

Student finance

If you’ve told UCAS you’ll need help paying for your course, your information will be shared with Student Finance England who will process your application.

Course selection
Apply for up to 5 higher education courses. Our course UCAS codes can be found on individual course pages.

Personal statement
This is your opportunity to sell yourself and make your UCAS application stand out from the crowd. Tell us your future career ambitions and why you want to study at Middlesbrough College. You’ll have to keep to a 4,000 work character limit so make sure your application is clear and concise. It’s also worth asking a family member, tutor or friend to check it over.

Submit
Ask a former tutor, advisor or professional to complete an academic reference that supports your application. You can then submit your application. This costs £13 for single courses or £24 for multiple courses. Financial support to cover these costs may be available from Student Services dependent on your personal circumstances.

Part-time higher education courses

Please select your chosen course from the list and apply online or complete our online or paper-based enquiry form. Our team will make contact with you for further information and to arrange an interview. If your application is successful, we will formally offer you a place on the programme.
