Dan studied Level 3 Music Technology and decided to stay at College to study the BSc Sound and Music Technology degree programme. When Daniel graduated from the degree programme he quickly found a job co-ordinating lighting and sound for various nightclubs and theatres across Teesside including Billingham Forum Theatre and The Empire in Middlesbrough. In fact, Dan found that employers seek out graduates of Middlesbrough College as they know that their skill set and practical skills are well suited for industry.

4 years later and Dan is now working for Tedav, a global technology company providing technical services such as design, consultation and specification to installation and maintenance and is set to work on a theatre contract in Milton Keynes as a resident technician before enjoying a contract in Montenegro for the summer.

Dan said “Coming away from the Sound & Music Technology programme with a degree that employer’s value and recognise has been massively beneficial in the transition from studying to the practical working world, and I have found gaining employment in the sector very easy.

“I chose to stay and study at Middlesbrough College as I knew the tutors and specs of the equipment- and I knew this was at a high standard. It was also a bonus for me that the course was right on my doorstep so I could study close to home and save money.

” During my time on the course I gained a wider skillset and also the knowledge of many other aspects of the music industry I had previously not considered as career options. From my time on the course I have since taken this skillset around the world with me working in several different countries doing what I love, which all started from this course!”

Course: Level 3 Music Technology and BSc Sound and Music Technology
