You will be based in MC Digital, our technical digital school and learn in our purpose-built games design and creative media studios which are equipped with industry- standard media production software and hardware.

As one of the first colleges to be awarded Next Gen status, and the only in the Tees Valley NextGen, we collaborate with industry experts to make sure our vocational qualification for young people are up to date and relevant.

We pride ourselves on offering innovative, practical based courses, using top of the range equipment, strong industry links and a professional skilled team of lectures.

Middlesbrough College is also proud to offer elite level gaming! As part of your programme, you may be selected to take part and become part of our MC Esports Academy.

Students will be selected to take the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Esports in addition to their full time programme. The course will be studied across 2 years, so you will finish your programme with the equivalent of 4 A Levels!

Over the past three years, the area has seen the highest number of new technology start-ups in the games industry outside of London, with jobs in Middlesbrough in digital technology growing by 19.5% in 2016-17!

In October 2019 the Mayor of Middlesbrough has launched a £250 million Digital City development, creating an estimate of more than 2,000 creative digital jobs.
