High tech company ULC Robotics is once again working with Northern Skills Group, the apprenticeship training arm of Middlesbrough College Group, to offer apprentices a gateway to employment in the utilities sector developing leading automated technologies.
The innovative service provider is a leader in product development and specialist robotic services for the natural gas, energy and electricity sectors.
ULC has recently expanded their team, welcoming a further three apprentices onto the newly developed apprenticeship programme.
Designed in collaboration with SGN and Cadent, the apprenticeship programme interlinks academic learning with real-world experience, providing the apprentices with a strong engineering skillset for the future energy industry.
Wendel Baltazar, Andrew Thompson, Adam Fishburn will join the team as engineering technician mechatronics apprentices. The three students will work across ULC Robotics’ London CISBOT sites to gain hands-on experience in the industry.
Adam, who lives in Billingham, said: “I’m over the moon to have been given this great opportunity working with ULC Robotics.
“I’m excited to be working away from home in London and to be learning about the technology that ULC is renowned for.
“I’m hoping to stay with the company in the future to help them to grow and succeed.”
Graeme Cleeton, Vice President of ULC’s UK Operations, is from Middlesbrough.
He said: “It’s been an exciting day for ULC Robotics. Three promising individuals have joined our company and we are thrilled to be working with them.”
